I went down to the Mississippi River To get me some work on the levee But when I got to the levee heard the captain say Well look out son that levee ‘bout to wash away Well the river is deep (river is deep) Water is high (water is high) Gotta get to higher ground if we gonna stay dry Well the flood waters are comin' Gotta hit the ground a-runnin' River is deep, water is high oh lord Well the river is deep (river is deep) Water is high (water is high) The levee won't hold nigh another night So grab up all your belongin’s Gotta get outta here by mornin' River is deep, water is high oh lord Well the river is deep (river is deep) Water is high (water is high) All my corn and cotton are gonna die When the rent man come, no money to pay No food upon my table River is deep, water is high oh lord Well the river is deep (river is deep) Water is high (water is high) Got them worried blues make me wanna cry Water wash away everything I own Put me out of house and home River is deep, water is high oh lord

If you get lost and on the road to hell Nobody gonna know where to find your soul If you get lost and on the road to hell Nobody gonna know where to find your soul If you take a wrong turn in life beware You might run into the devil out there If you get lost and on the road to hell Nobody gonna know where to find your soul Oh well the road to hell, so smooth and straight Just an easy drive to the fiery gates Oh well the road to hell, so smooth and straight Just an easy drive to the fiery gates Cause the devil got the best pavin' crew If you wanna meet him he'll make it easy for you If you get lost and on the road to hell Nobody gonna know where to find your soul The road to heaven a long and bumpy ride If you wanna get there you’re gonna need a guide The road to heaven a long and bumpy ride If you wanna get there you’re gonna need a guide Cause if you get lost out on that road The devil might drag you into his fold If you get lost and on the road to hell Nobody gonna know where to find your soul

about

We are The Fattenin' Frogs and we play Rock & Roll music in its original spirit by cranking up the intensity on traditional American music. With a style developed by electrifying blues, country, folk, R&B, gospel, bluegrass, and jazz influences from the first half of the 20th century, we aim to help bring rock music back to its roots. "12 Bars" presents a mix of original songs and interpretations of classic gospel, blues, and R&B songs. We believe in the importance of using musical versatility and creative singing to bring out the full potential of every song. And first and foremost, we believe music should be fun.
